Annual Integrated Batch

The civil service examination is conducted generally every year by Union Public Service Commission at a national level. The three stages of examination are Prelims, Mains and Personal interviews. These three stages are spread across a year. The Annual Integrated Batch conducted by the Academy caters to all the three stages of the examination (Pre + Mains + Interview). Extensive classroom teaching, quality study material, and rigorous test series for Prelims Mains and Optional Subjects are the hallmarks of the batches at the Academy. An emphasis is given on developing in all the students the capacity to understand, comprehend and analyze the components in the syllabus. More importantly, consistent efforts are taken to improve their writing skills as well.

Mains

The mains course is an intensive and rigorous seven to eight months academic course. For the Mains exam the students are trained and guided for optional subjects and General Studies. The Unique Academy offers coaching for the following optional subjects:
  • Political science
  • Public Administration
  • History
  • Geography
  • Sociology
  • Economics
  • Anthropology
  • Philosophy
Extensive classroom teaching, quality reading material and rigorous test series are the highlights of these batches. Instead of just concentrating on covering the entire syllabus, the teaching at the Academy focuses on all the major/crucial topics. The main emphasis is on developing comprehension, analytical and writing skills of the students. Hence the students are encouraged to write the Test Series, which are meticulously prepared by the faculty. Timely evaluation and comprehensive feedback on the same helps the students to understand their progress.

Prelims

The nature of the prelims is as follows: It consists of two papers -General Studies (GS) and Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). It is of objective nature consisting of multiple choice questions. A candidate has to choose correct answer from the given four alternatives and darken the space in the answer sheet. The Academy helps the students to prepare for the preliminary examination with a well organized and intensive course of four/five months from December to April. It channelizes and directs the candidate to develop comprehension and analytical abilities. The Academy has a well chalked out schedule for the preparation of General Studies and Civil Service Aptitude Test for the students. Just like Mains, extensive classroom teaching, quality reading material and rigorous test series are highlights of the Prelims batches as well. Test Series (topical/sectional/comprehensive) forms an integral part of this course, whereby the ability and approach to crack the examination is cultivated among the students.

Interview

Preparation for the interviews is starts in November which lasts up to January .The course trains the students in personality development, soft skills and communication skills, and prepares them to face interviews. The preparation for interviews is undertaken by the following methods.
  • Lectures on interview techniques by eminent faculties
  • Lectures on topics of current relevance
  • Lectures by previous successful students of the Academy drawing on their own experience on how they faced their interviews
